The only isssue I had is that you have to hold the button for drawing the gun on the PC version which made it a bit awquard, where as I understrand the Xbox verson just lets you click the right thumbstick to toggle it.
Matrix path of neo xbox drivers#
According to the readme the game is set up for a Logitech controller that is a DualShock clone by default and I'd image plays just like the PS2 version like that, but I used a Xbox controller with XBCD drivers and that worked fine for the most part as you can set the buttons and axies in the drivers to match what the game wants. I picked the PC version out of hope for widescreen support as I knew the Xbox version doesn't have it but the PS2 does, but I'm crious as to how the graphics would look better on the Xbox?Īs for controls, I tried playing with the KB+mouse setup and it was just absurd, also the control settings don't stick becuase of the way they borked the saving so I'd have to reset them every time I played. I could go on about problems with the graphics for a while, but my point is that you will be sorely disspointed if you play this game for graphics, though if you go in not expecting good graphics you will be supprised by a few spots.

Laughably it does offer HDR on such cards that support it but the HDR doesn't even work in cutsceens and when it does work it is often stupidly bright. Artisticly it has some beautiful moments, but it fails on quite a bit artisticly as well and technology wise it is sorely lacking. Paying $50 like I did for is just absured though, I recomend waiting for the price to drop quite a bit and/or patchs to do wonders for all the crap in the game.Īs for the questions on the graphics to put it simply it looks like what it is, it a dressed up second rate PS2 game. Turns out the reviews are spot on, the game is utter crap in many ways and desrives plenty of trash talking, but all the same it is quite fun to play and hence deserves a reasoably high score. 3dAnalyze has some options to force the max pixel shader version, it might do what you after.Īs for the game itself, I read a couple PC reviews though that trashed the hell out of it and then gave it a decent score so I was intrigued and when I saw it at Target across from the Xbox 360 display I went to check out I couldn't resist my morbid curiosity.
